Pink Floyd 60th Birthday Cake

I made this for my dad’s 60th birthday.

He loves Pink Floyd…so much that my siblings and I know all the words to most of their songs by heart…especially The Wall live album.

Because music was not a democracy in our house…I digress

My mom booked a cottage for the May long weekend for me, my sister, brother and our families to share. It was a surprise for my dad so we had the bulk of the food travelling in our van.

My oldest…who was 10 at the time…stepped on it in the car. You can see the damage on the top.

It made it, but I am glad I took photos before hand

This was also before I had that Wilton layer cake kit so I baked six 8-inch rounds…I immediately bought the kit following this one.
