8th Birthday Cake

This cake was for my oldest son’s 9th birthday.

We had just been to Disneyworld a few weeks before, where he did the Jedi Training which was awesome.

My dad took him to The Force Awakens a few months before, so it was a hot item in our house.

Again I went to Pinterest for inspiration.

This is my good old box cake, I think it might have been two actually. I used a couple of Pyrex bowls to bake them in for the shape.

I did layer it so it was not all cake on the inside

The hardest part was getting the designs right, or close enough to look right

This is definitely one of my more “rustic” cakes

He loved it anyways!
