Blueberry Muffins
May 13 2019
Finally got some blueberries in the house so I can try Martha’s Blueberry Muffins
This seems like an easy recipe and it is a nice treat for the boys after school
So, let’s go for it
I have made many muffins in my time and even have a protein blueberry muffin I like to make, so we will see how these muffins measure up
This is a simple mix dry, mix wet, combine and bake recipe.
There is a tip that I have sort of heard before, tossing the blueberries in flour before mixing them in the batter keeps them from sinking to the bottom of the muffin
I will keep that one in my back pocket!
So, I tossed, mixed, mixed and combined
It really seems like a lot of blueberries
I am one of those girls who when I am making chocolate chip…anything really…I just throw in handfuls until I am happy with the batter to chip ratio.
It is really more of an art than a science.
There is nothing worse than there being only 3 chocolate chips in your cookie or being so bogged down in blueberries you don’t even get to taste the cakey goodness of the muffin
These are bordering on too much
I use my handy dandy ice cream/cookie/muffin scoop and put the batter in the muffin cups
The house smells amazing
These came out of the oven and looked amazing
I think there was just a little too much blueberries, but I was outnumbered
Rave reviews in this house.
These are definitely bakery quality muffins – I didn’t do a calorie count, but I don’t think they are going to be any kind of healthy because they taste like cake
These are simple to put together, and the kids loved them – just need to have blueberries around the house
The return on investment with these are worth it – Bakeable
