Honey Whole Wheat Bread
Another social distancing day, another bread day
The stores are out of bread flour right now so I have to use all purpose (I feel I am entering a time of great substitution on these bakes)
This is not too long of a bread recipe only one dough proof and only one loaf proof before we bake so that is a plus
This is the foamiest my active yeast has ever been – I am excited about this!
There was a lot a flour to mix together
This is way too much for the mixer handle

The instructions are to gently knead by hand for 10-15 minutes
Well I won’t “knead” to do my upper body workout today (See what I did there? Yeah, I groaned too)

I had to use our step stool to be tall enough to really give ‘er a go
But it came together nicely even though I used all-purpose flour not bread flour

Now we proof for an hour and a half
Whoa baby this looks awesome

I cut it in two and flatten it and roll as instructed to place in the pan
The only part I have difficulty with is the seams on the bottom of the bread

I do my best, but fear they will split
I have left them to rise for a further 40 minutes
They have risen beautifully!

Guys these look like pretty homemade loaves of bread

Once out of the pans we tried it
It is really good – a little less spongy then I would like but a little bit sweet
Again, have you met a bad bread?

Toasted up and smeared with peanut butter is the way to go on this one according to hubby
Totally Bakeable!
